The Snow Leopard Mission
Go to our Eco-Cartoons and Projects sections and learn more about the magnificent snow leopard. Then write a letter to Damira and Djanibek and tell them what you think of the story and why other kids should help protect snow leopards. You can also send a drawing of snow leopards that you’d like to show your friends in Central Asia. Once we receive your letter and drawing, we will send them to a school in Kyrgyzstan and we will give you a copy of a drawing they will make for you with their promise to help.
 2. Take a look at this photo. It was taken high in the mountain close to Sari Tash in Kyrgyzstan, near the China border. This snow leopard, which was made in stone, is believed to sometimes come alive at nighttime and save people lost in the mysterious Tian Shan mountains.
Tell us a story about one of its adventures and include a drawing for your story’s cover. You may also do some research on the traditional legends and history of this country at the same time.
The best drawings, stories and letters will be published on this website. They will also be shared with people living in Kyrgyzstan. Please note that artwork submitted by mail will not be returned.
